What is a JAB Session?
JAB stands for Join A Band. Members meet other musicians and get into a band situation for ten weeks only. The beauty of joining the League Of Rock is that you get all the trappings of being in a band without having to look for musicians, and without having to commit to it over the long term.
How Does a JAB Session Work?
Simply signup, attend the Draft Event, get into a ten week band, show up once a week, jam, workshop with pros and get some pointers, have a good time, and record a three song CD.
What is a micro-circuit?
As you already know a circuit comprises the many bars and clubs
in a city that bands play gigs in. This a Bar Circuit. The League
Of Rock has a micro-circuit that provides members with an authentic
music experience.
The LOR Circuit comprises state of the art fully equipped rehearsal
spaces located at the Rehearsal
Factory, live venues and other great spaces to jam in with
no audience, and world class recording studios including Phase
One Studios, Inception
Sound, QMusic
and Whirlwind
Sound.
Over ten weeks, we keep your experience dynamic and interesting
by giving you more than one small rehearsal space to jam in. Members
move from rehearsal space, to live venue, to recording studios.
Who workshops with the members?
The League Of Rock maintains relationships with many of Canada's
best musicians. It isn't only the famous players who our members
get to workshop with. Many of the famous players have fabulous
stories and incredible experience, but there is also a significant
population of professional studio musicians who are extremely
talented, experienced, and have played with many famous rock stars.
In some cases, the session players have more stories than the
famous rock stars they work for.
This roster changes all the time, but all members are more than
welcome to consult management on a daily basis to find out who
is coaching during any given JAB Session.
How do I get matched up with other musicians?
The magic behind the League Of Rock's JAB Sessions is that they only last ten weeks, not the rest of your life. JAB Sessions are focused on experimentation. We want you to take risks that you normally would not take. Meet new people, try new material, and create new music.
League Of Rock producers work tirelessly to research all members skill levels, musical tastes and desires. We then team you up with like minded players and set you on a path to learn new music, create new sounds and styles and record something you'll be proud of for a very long time. When your JAB Session concludes, you're more than welcome to stay with the same players on the next one, or request a new group of players. No attitude, no hassle.
Do I have to bring my drums to every session?
No. Only members who wish to bring heavy equipment can. All heavy gear is supplied including drums. Other instruments are required such as guitars, basses, brass instruments and keyboards. Microphones, mic stands, PA Systems, everything is supplied. All you do, is show up, plug in and jam.
What if I get thursty during a session?
The League provides the beverages and pizza. Not to worry, we wont' let our members get thirsty or hungry.
How much does it cost to join the league?

it gives you front of the line access to future JAB Sessions and
your fees are reduced to 980.00 per session. Members get front

Music-Based Corporate Retreats, Team Building Events and Rewards
+ Incentive Events. League producers are also working to get members
